DevSwarm 2.1: A Sidebar That Works the Way You Do

Redesigned Sidebar

The sidebar received a complete overhaul centered on branch hierarchy organization. Workspaces now feature auto-generated labels, clickable virtual branches, and drag-and-drop reordering capabilities. The conversation interface styling was updated to maintain visual consistency throughout the application.

DevSwarm Tool

The new DevSwarm Tool enables AI agents to interact directly with DevSwarm. Users can instruct Claude Code, Copilot, or other supported agents to manage workspaces, configure repositories, or coordinate tasks without leaving the conversation interface.

Workspace Messaging

Workspaces gained inter-workspace communication features. Parent workspaces can delegate subtasks to child workspaces and receive completion notifications, enabling coordinated parallel workflows from a single prompt.

Bug Fixes

  • Terminal blank screens and dead terminals after restart resolved
  • Terminal scroll no longer jumps during AI output
  • Copilot initial prompts no longer silently dropped
  • Windows: actionable IDE startup error messages
  • Windows: PowerShell resume command fix
  • Fixed intermittent freezes under heavy workspace usage
  • IDE auto-recovers from WebSocket disconnections
